No problems about refereeing,says Derrick

“Referees do make mistakes, just like anybody else, but I don’t want to comment on their performance in I-League,” affirmed Pune FC coach Derrick Pereira on Monday.
Reacting to his comments appearing on a popular football website, Derrick denied he had ever stated that his team was denied several penalties against Chirag.
Derrick denying that he had ever spoken about poor refereeing standards in India, stated that he was mainly concerned about his coaching assignment, and that he was not in the habit of normally reading newspapers.
“I don’t know if any incident in our match against Chirag warranted a penalty,” Derrick remarked but added that there was no consistency.
Derrick stated that he was totally misquoted by the website.
