CHINCHINIM: Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim shot-out St Jude HS, Betalbatim 6-5 via the tie-breaker in the U-16 UCV School Cup inter-school football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers, at Chinchinim Church ground, on Friday.
Joelon Fernandes gave St. Jude HS the lead through a powerful-shot which was assisted by Dilliran in the second minute.
In the closing minutes of the match, Rahul Rodrigues equalised for Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim.
In the tie breaker, Saiesh Gaonkar, Velroy Fernandes, Rahul Rodrigues, Velito Rocha, Jollyton Fernandes scored for Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim while Sandeep Adhikari, Joelon Fernandes, Vishwanath Talwar, Wenceslaus Antao were on target for St Jude HS, Betalbatim.
Rahul Rodrigues of Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim was named man-of-the-match.
In the second match, Our Lady of Rosary HS, Fatorda downed Auxilium HS, Benaulim 3-0.
Yesh Parwar scored in the second minute to give the lead while Prashant Shinde (7th minute) Meagan Soares (11th minute) also scored for Our Lady of Rosary HS.
Jordan Borges of Our Lady of Rosary HS, Fatorda was named man-of-the-match.
