Vasco: The Fifth edition of the Open Navy Windsurfing Championship will be held at the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Center (INWTC), Goa from Januray 27 to 31.
The championship is also a national ranking event conducted annually.
In a press release issued by the Indian Navy, the first edition of ‘Open Navy Windsurfing Championship’ with 32 participants was conducted by the INWTC (Goa) at Hawaii Beach, Dona Paula in Apr 2016, under the aegis of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA) and Yachting Association of India (YAI). The current edition is expected to witness a record participation of more than a hundred windsurfing enthusiasts from all over the country.
Adequate measures are being instituted to ensure strict compliance to COVID-19 protocols and social distancing norms.
