MAPUSA: Our Lady of Rosary High School Tiswadi won the North District U-17 Girls Chess Tournament by 10 points, while runners-up Saraswat Vidyalaya Bardez secured 8 points and Shri Shantadurga High School Bicholim settled for the third place with 6 points. The tournament was organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs played at Peddem.
Tiswadi and Bardez qualified for state level.
Meanwhile, Sharada Mandir Tiswadi claimed the North District U-14 Girls Chess tournament by 8 points. Runners up Saraswat Vidyalaya collected 7 points while Shree Shantadurga High School Bicholim bagged the third place with 5 points. Tiswadi and Bardez qualified for state level.
