The League is turning out to be an exciting one! Stunning results with even better talent. Comebacks have been a new trend in the league with Panjim Footballers’ 3-2 win being the latest surprise following Dempo SC and Vasco SC’s wins.
However, besides the comeback, it was Panjim Footballers’ Alston Camotio who stole the show with an all-round performance on the field. The former Sporting Clube de Goa academy product scored in the 58th minute match with a strong left foot strike to get his side back into the game.
The midfielder’s confidence and presence on the pitch boosts the team’s morale considering the rawness in the side (no senior experienced players). Camotio’s strong physic and ability to strive to win the ball back again and surge upfront whenever required made it difficult for Velsao SCC.
Alston has been now regular for Panjim and with every match, the lad has been improving. It wouldn’t be long before we hear his name more often. Once again, remember the name –Alston Camotio.
