Ponda Heroes reign supreme

Ponda Heroes beat Navelim Knight Riders won 2-1 via the tie-breaker in the finals of the football tournament organised by Popular Front of India, Goa, under Eid-e-Milan sports festival as per the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at SAG ground, Fatorda, Margao recently.
In all, 200 members along with their families took part.
In the football event, Fatorda Super Kings, Ponda Heroes, Navelim Knight Riders and Margao United took part.
Fatorda Super Kings romped home victorious in the kabbadi match.
Children in large numbers took part in the 100m and frog races. Mohammad Jalis won the best sports personality award.
Ashraf Pandial, SAG Treasurer was the chief guest. Abdul Matin Carol was the guest of honour. Dr Shaikh Abdul Shakur, Principal, Posh English High School was the special invitee. Anees gave away the prizes. Zia Rikarty compered and welcomed. Arif proposed the vote of thanks.
