VERNA: Poriebhat Boys pipped Dulape Boys by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the Youth of Bamborda inter-ward football tournament, at Verna panchayat ground, on Wednesday.
In the first half, both the teams had equal share of the ball possession.
In the second half, in the 50th minute, Poriebhat’s Lenoy Fernandes lobbed the ball above the keeper into the net to give his team the lead.
Later in the 53rd minute, Poriebhatt’s Nessiadade Moniz missed the target by a whisker.
Dulape’s Lenon hit the side netting in the 60th minute.
Poriebhatt will now meet Bamborda on February 9 in the quarter-finals.
