MATHOL-VERNA: Poriebhatt 1 beat Zico Boys, Ambeabhag 2 -1 to move into the quarter finals of Lazaro D’Silva and Caje Fernandes Memorial inter-ward football tournament, at Mathol football ground, Verna, on Monday.
Poriebhatt 1 took an early lead through Wilson in the fourth minute with a powerful shot from outside the box.
In the second half, Poriebhatt 1 doubled the lead in the 25th minute through Cristo D’Mello who scored with a fine header from inside the box.
Six minutes later, Zico Boyspulled a goal back through Neville Fernandes in the 32nd minute.
Poriebhatt 1 will now meet Bamborda 1 in the quarter-finals on April 23.
