NAGOA-VERNA: Poriebhatt Boys blanked Matol FC 3-0 to reach the final of Youth of Bamborda inter-ward football tournament, at Verna panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
In the first half, Lenoy Fernandes scored a brace in the 12th and 20th minutes. Three minutes later, Matol FC’s Mario’s long range shot was timely saved by the Poriebhatt keeper.
In the second half, Aidan Furtado scored the third in the 38th minute to seal the victory for Poriebhatt Boys.
Matol tried their level best to level terms but Poriebhatt Boys defence stood tall to maintain the lead and prevented the Matol FC strikers scoring.
