RAIA: PVC Association came from behind to win against YSC Colvale, 4-2, in the tie-breaker to enter into the semi-final of Nerul Panchayat Cup, organised by Nerul Sports Club, played at the club ground on Tuesday.
In the 1st half, Avito Fernandes header through a free kick was an early opener for YSC Colvale in the 2 minute. PVC Association maintained a good ball possession but was unable to equalise.
In the 2nd half, PVC Association doubled their attack with their substitute Shadab Shaikh. A long ball to Shadab Shaikh through Saiesh Palyekar was a good opportunity to score from inside the penalty area but missed it. In the dying minutes of the game, Shadab Shaikh’s bicycle kick through Woldran Martins equalised for PVC Association.
Full time score was 1-1.
In the tie-breaker, Elroy Narareth, Pallav Murari, Waldron Martins and Chirag Mardolkar scored for the winners. Edwin Vegas, Ashwin Noronha and Derrich Rodrigues scored for YSC Colvale.
