entered the semi-finals of 32nd All Goa St Anne’s festival inter-village soccer tournament after Goan Warriors Tivim by two second half goals, at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti-Ponda, on Monday.
In the 11th minute, Denim Pereira of Tivim nearly scored when he shot from the top of the box missed the goalpost by inches.
Denim’s shot from inside the box was saved by the Raia keeper.
At the other end, Joswel chipped the ball as Eldon’s header was punched out.
In the second half, Raia attacked from the flank and Eldon gave a measured pass to Sweden who placed over the keeper to make it 1-0 in the 60th minute.
Raia doubled the lead when Joswel dodged a defender and released a pass to Joyston who beat the keeper to make it 2-0.
Liston Cardozo of Raia who single handed managed the defence line was presented the man-of-the match award by Sandeep Opkar
