VALPOI: The Bhagwan Mahaveer Government High School, Honda won the team title in the taluka level yoga competition, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth.

The boys’ team included Sairaj Gaonkar, Vasu Thakur, Shitesh Gaonkar, Virendra Gaonkar and Ranjit Singh while girls’s squad included Sneha Shirodkar, Sanjana Gaonkar, Yamuna Gaonkar and Yashshree Gaonkar.
Shitesh Gaonkar, Sairaj Gaonkar and Vasu Thakur won first three places in individual category. In the girls’ individual category, Sanjana Gaonkar, Sneha Shirodkar and Yamuna Gaonkar grabbed the first three spots. The students were guided by their physical education teacher Sulochana Barajankar.
