PANJIM: Reliance One scored a 61 runs victory over RBI in the Goa Corporate League match held at Goa Cricket Academy, Porvorim, on Monday.
Reliance won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 203 for 6 in 20 overs. Hitesh Dalal and Rohan opened the batting for Reliance but they suffered an early setback as Rohan was sent back to the pavilion for a duck.
Hitesh fell short of 5 runs to score a half century as he was dismissed by Kuldeep Hooda. Skipper Saurabh Tiwari scored a half century off 34 balls.
The RBI bowlers put in a decent performance as Chirag Parmar picked up 2 wickets while Jyot Chhaya, Amit Mishra and Ankit Rajpoot scalped a wicket each.
In reply, RBI scored 142 for 9 in 20 overs. Their batsmen couldn’t handle the pressure as the Reliance bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals which restricted them from reaching the target.
Ankit Rajpoot was the top scorer who remained unbeaten at 33 runs off 13 balls.
Sangwan, Nagar Koti and Pawan Negi scalped 2 wickets each while Nideesh Anukul Roy and Saurabh Tiwari picked a wicket each.
Saurabh Tiwari picked up the Player-of-the-Match award for his all-round performance.
Meanwhike in another match, Air India won by 7 wickets against Indian Oil.
