VELSAO/ PALE: Rising Star Sports Club got the better of Young Humorist Club 5-1 in the GFA Second Division League match, played at Velsao ground, on Thursday.
Rahul Korgaonkar scored a hat-trick for Rising Star netting in the 38th, 70th and 88th minute. While Laxman Urang scored a brace for the winners in the 85th and 41st minute.
Sashikant Lamani pulled a goal back for Young Humorist Club in the 50th minute.
At Chicalim ground, Cortalim Villagers defeated Mormugao United 3-2.
Samuel D’Silva opened the account for Cortalim in the 25th minute. Within six minutes
Johnson Pereira doubled the lead for Cortalim Villagers. Valentine D’Silva made it 3-0 for Cortalim in the 36th minute.
Sushant Borkar and Sadhik Ugaladupa scored a goal each for Mormugao United in the 48th and 61st minute respectively.
