Rosary, St Jude, OL Snow, St Anthony move ahead

MARGAO: Rosary HS, Navelim; St. Anthony School, Majorda; OL of Snow HS, Raia; St. Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor and St Jude HS, Betalbatim moved into the pre-quarters of the under-14 Salcete taluka inter-school football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Manora ground, Raia.

A BIG STORY OF A SMALL LADDOO
Rosary HS thumped Holy Rosary Convent HS, Nuvem by 4-0 margin.  
Welton Fernandes scored a brace while Myron Gomes and Sameer Halagi scored a goal each. 
St. Anthony School scored hard fought 2-1 victory over St Rock HS, Tollecanto-Velim.
Meuton Fernandes and Renny Vaz scored for St. Anthony School while Asfin Pinto reduced the margin for St. Rock School. 
Preswin Fernandes and Cleon Fernandes scored for OL of Snow School to score a 2-0 victory over Cuncolim United HS, Cuncolim.
 St. Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor also moved ahead with 3-0 victory over St. Xavier Institute, Curtorim. Irfan Yadwad, Jason Fernandes and Jordon Fernandes were the scorers. 
In the last match, Rajasab Shaikh scored a superb hat-trick as St. Jude’s HS, Betalbatim thrashed Posh English HS, Navelim 5-0.  
Sheldon Pinto and Joswel Miranda also added their names in the scoring list.
