CALANGUTE: Roseman Cruz Sports Club secured a place in the Calangute Association Soccer Cup final after a 5-4 win over Chandor Sports Club, organised by Calangute Association Sports Club in collaboration with Calangute Panchayat, played at Poriat ground, here on Thursday.
It was Chandor who broke the deadlock in the first session when Lucio Navtaro guided home the ball from inside the 6-yard box. Crossing over Roseman managed to level terms through Joy Ferrao who powerful long range shot had no answer from the rival keeper, 1-1.
In the resultant tie-breaker Roseman Cruz turned out to be better shooters and score four of their penalty strikes while Chandor managed to convert only three.
