RAIA: Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna edged past Navelim Sporting Club 3-1 to book their place in the finals of Gold Silver Trophy inter-village football tournament played at Rosary church ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Clinton Niasso of Navelim Sporting Club was the star of the match with his power-packed shot and number of assists to his teammates and for Rossman Cruz Hilton Fernandes gave his best to his teammates.

Both teams gave their best in front of spectators. Just in the 4th minute, Clinton of Navelim took a power-packed shot but was blocked by Rossman Cruz defender. Then Savio of Rossman Cruz’s grounder missed the rival target by whiskers in the 10th minute.
With no score in the regulation time, in the ensuing tie-breaker Rossman Cruz netted through Roydon, Hilton and Savio while Navelim Sporting Club netted through Nevin. Hilton Fernandes of Rossman Cruz was awarded man-of-the-match by Ramesh Naik.
