CHINCHINIM: Rossman Cruz Nagoa, Verna defeated Carmona SC 3-1 to storm into the semi-finals of the Union of Chinchinim Villagers 8-A-side inter-village football tournament, at Our Lady of Hope ground, Chinchinim, on Sunday.
The first half was barren. Benston opened the account for Rossman Cruz Nagoa, in the 40th minute of a fine connect from Noel, making it 1-0.
Soon in the 42nd minute Benston scored a second goal for Rossman Cruz Nagoa.
Alex reduced the margin 1-2 for Carmona SC in the 47th minute.
With the goal, Carmona SC upped their pace in search of an equaliser but could not do much as their strikers failed in front of the rival goal as Rossman Cruz Nagoa defenders stood like solid rock.
Post resumption, Benston, put the final nail in the coffin as he scored the third goal for his team in the 60th minute to make it 3-1.
