PANJIM: S Caculo College, Mapusa clinched the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship for men organized by Goa University defeating Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda by 38 runs, at University ground, Taleigao Plateau, recently.
Batting first, S Caculo college scored 157 losing six wickets. Tunish Sawkar (21), Kaustab Naik (28), Umang Gosavi (30) Vaibhav Govekar (30) not out were the top scorers. Sanat Mhapne, Nehal Bhind and Rahul Naik claimed a wicket each for Don Bosco Engg.
In reply, Don Bosco could only manage to score 120 for nine. Saurav (31), Abhishek (20) and Sahil (30) not out were the major contributors to the score. Tunish Sawkar (4 for 18 runs) and Goving Naik (2 for 28 runs) bowled well for Caculo College.
