Saimira wins double, Priyam, Aaron win titles

PANJIM: Saimira Kamat won a double crown, reigning supreme in U-14 & U-21 Girls events, while Priyam Redkar and Aaron Colaco walked away with the U-14 and U-21 boys singles titles, at the 4th Late Purushottam V. P. Navelcar Memorial Talent Search Table Tennis Tournament organised by Panaji Ganeshotsav Samiti in collaboration with Panjim Table Tennis Club, at Dr SPM Stadium, Taleigao. 
In the U-14 boys singles, Priyam Redkar exhibited a game of fine aggression and attacking play to register a convincing 3-1 win over Rishan Shaikh. Saimira Kamat won the U-14 and U-21 girls singles titles in contrasting style, edging out Urvi Surlakar in U-14 and Aalya Arora in U-21 finals to clinch twin titles.
 Meanwhile, Ashutosh Chari has set up a title clash with Eknath Mahadeshwar in Men’s singles finals while the U-21 Boys finals will be contested between Aaron Colaco and Nikhil Jadhav.
 In the doubles final, top seeds Noel Noronha and Suresh Karapurkar will meet second sseded pair of Nikhil Jadhav and Sanisha Shetye in the finals. 
In the age group categories, promising player prizes were awarded to Jitendra Thuki, Arya Palang, Amogh Bawachikar, Atharv Sawant, Atharv Dhulapkar and Neeza Kamat. Krupa Navelcar, Navelcar Enterprises, Suresh Bhangui, Secretary, Goa TT Association, Sidharth Sakhardande, Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, and organising members Sahil Kamat, Sandesh Nagarsekar, Manoj Karapurkar and Sandeep Heble were among those who graced the closing function.
