CANSAULIM/ CHICALIM: Salgaocar Football Club scored a fluent 4-0 win over Cortalim SC in the GFA U-14 League South Zone, thanks to a fine hat-trick by Michael Dias. The match was played at Cansaulim ground, on Wednesday.
The Green Brigades came in the match high in confidence and took the lead in the 12th minutes when Rui Noronha scored the first connecting to a Flann Crasto corner kick.
The winners led 1-0 at the break. Crossing over, Salgaocar FC scored three more goals. Michael Dias doubled the lead in the 38th minute when he guided in Hayden Fernandes cross.
The player was at his best as the scored his second after receiving a pass from Rui Noronha, Michael scored with a 25-yard strike. He completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute with a similar strike after being fed by Hayden Fernandes. The full-time score read 4-0 in favour of Salgaocar FC.
Meanwhile, at Chicalim ground, Benfica Youth Club and Verna Sports and Cultural Club played out a drab draw.

Young Boys of Tonca and FC Neura played out a goalless draw in the Goa Football Association Second Division League Ilhas Zone match played at Taleigao ground.
