PANJIM: Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim eased past Youth Club of Manora 3-0 in the GFA Division I League match at the Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Selton Fernandes broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, calmly finishing to give Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim the lead. The advantage was doubled 20 minutes later when Kanchan Kiro found the back of the net with a composed strike, before Sam Moura sealed the win in the 80th minute with a clinical effort. Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim’s discipline at the back ensured Youth Club of Manora rarely threatened, while bookings were shown to Aliton Furtado and Dravid Fernandes for the victors and Atif Shaikh for YC Manora.
Meanwhile, at Poriat ground, Calangute, Pilerne SC and Goa Velha played out a goalless draw.
