VELIM: SC Davorlim got the better of Nuvem SC 4-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Velim Panchayat Cup football tournament organised by Sports and Welfare Club of Zaino, Velim, at St Francis Xavier Church ground, Velim, on Thursday.
It was Inacio Colaco who netted the first goal of the match for Nuvem with a ground shot in the 29th minute but the joy was short-lived as within two minutes, Agnelo Colaco equalised for Davorlim with a placement shot. Agnelo Colaco found the net once again for Davorlim with a curler in the 43rd minute.
A defensive lapse from Davorlim cost them a goal scored by Hayson Velho for Nuvem who just tapped the ball inside the Davorlim net in the 47th minute.
As the match progressed in the 55th minute, Piedade Colaco made it 3-2 for Davorlim and Joel Colaco further inflated the lead for Davorlim in the 60th minute.
