At lemon break, SC Davorlim were leading 2-0. Davorlim scored the first goal in the 5th minute through Stanley Gomes’ rasping shot off a cross by Agnelo Colaco.
Davorlim doubled the lead with Andrew Colaco’s power-packed shot in the 20th minute off a pass from Stanley Colaco. Down with two goals, Wilfred Leisure made an attempt in the 24th minute but Agnelo Martins’ move was foiled by Davorlim defence.
Post Resumption, SC Davorlim increased the tally when Agnelo just tapped the ball home off a well connect by Andrew in the 45th minute.
Wilred Leisure scored the consolation goal through Nelson Fernandes ground shot. Agnelo Martins assisted.
On Thursday, SC Davorlim defeated Ambelim SC 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals.
Davorlim took the lead through Wellington Raikar in the first half.
Crossing over, Ambelim SC levelled terms with the efforts of Nial Cardozo.
In the tie-breaker, Davorlim SC scored through Selwin Miranda, Roston Miranda, Andrew Colaco and Venson Figuerido while Ambelim SC netted with the efforts of Nial Cardozo and Rocky Fernandes.
Immaculate Conception Sports Club (ICSC), Paroda edged past Verna Sports Club 3-2 to move into the semi-finals.
ICSC led 2-0 at half time. ICSC surged ahead in the 10th minute through Patrick Lima’s power-packed grounder and soon doubled the advantage through Poly Oliveira’s venomous strike.
Verna Sports Club with two goals deficit tried hard to come to level terms but in vain.
Crossing over, Verna SC came from behind in the 40th minute through Ajay Sotarkar while Savio Fernandes made it 2-2 with a deft placement.
However, ICSC scored the match-winner through Hyguis Fernandes in the 50th minute off a perfect pass from Patrick Lima.
