MARGAO, MAY 24 Sesa Football Academy booked their place in the last four defeating Velsao Pale Sports Club 5-4 via the sudden-death tie-breaker in Casino Royale Faria Gold Cup soccer tournament at Dr T B Da Cunha Sports Complex, Cansaulim on Sunday. Both teams were tied 1-1 at half time.Sesa, in full strength, looked smart from the start as they launched attacks. They drew first flood through Selwyn Fernandes in the 24th minute.
Velsao matched their rivals in the midfield and managed to equalize in the 44th minute through Cedrick Peixoto.
Changing over, Sesa could not capitalize on their chances to win the match and the issue had to be resolved via the tie-breaker in which Velsao missed two
penalty-kicks and Sesa won the match comfortably 4-3.
Carlos Fernandes of Sesa bagged the man-of-the match award.
