Traffic on the NH-17 at Dandeavaddo-Chinchinim was
disrupted on late Sunday evening after a huge tree came
crashing down on the road.
The incident occurred at around 8.15 pm.
Fire services, which rushed to the spot, cleared the road
of the tree and opening the highway for traffic.
Meanwhile, a major fire completely gutted four hay stacks
at Nanguillo-Cuncolim on Sunday morning.
Fire services put the total loss of property to Rs 8000.
