PANJIM: Sesa FA edged past Goa Police SC 1-0 in the GENO First Division League organised by Goa Football Association (GFA), played at Sirsaim ground on Wednesday.
Sesa FA came into the game after a 1-1 draw against UC Telaulim, while Goa Police were playing their third game of the league after winning the first two. Both teams got off to an eve start but it was the Academy boys who shot into the lead in the 36th minute through Manjunath Rathod who neatly placed his strike into the nets.
Both sides failed to create any potent attempts as Sesa FA held on to their slender lead to take away full points. With this win, Sesa FA have collected a total of 13 points from 6 games while Goa Police have 6 points from 3 games.
