Shankar stars for Paradise

Shankar Murgaonkar netted a hat-trick as Paradise Sports Club defeated Cabesa Sports and Cultural Association 4-2 in GFA’s Third Division play-off at Taleigao ground on Tuesday. The score was 2-2 at half time.
Paradise opened the scoring just two minutes in after Pritesh Sawant punted home. In the 18th, Paradise cemented their lead when Shankar struck his first of the match.
Two goals down, Cabesa were not sunk yet. Inacio Rodrigues levelled on the half hour mark and team mate Dilip Rodrigues equalised five minutes before the change of ends.
After the break, both teams went in search of the winner but could not find the break through.
With four minutes left on the clock, a tie-breaker was looming, but Shankar sprung to net his second and Paradise’s third. Deep into injury time, Shankar completed his hat-trick to break the hearts of the Cabesa fans.
