MARGAO: A superb strike by striker Suraj Patil helped Our Lady of Snows HS, Raia overcome Auxilium Convent HS, Caranzalem 1-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of All-Goa Alvernaz and Lalush Alemao memorial football tournament at church ground, Chinchinim, Thursday. There was no score at the half time.
Snows had the better share of exchanges and once they settled down they kept the rival defenders on their toes.
Crossing over, Snows played with purpose with an aggressive approach and scored the match-winner late in the second half after striker Suraj Patil slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot.
