PANJIM: Hallelujah Football Club (South Korea) started their campaign in Mumbai with a convincing 5-0 victory over Mumbai Customs at Fr. Agnel’s complex, Vashi.

The match was a warm-up for the tour of India.

Customs were no match for the Koreans who surged into the lead in the 12th minute through Lee Hynn Woo.

Hallelujah FC increased the lead in the 16th minute with Lee Doseong scoring off Shin Jaepil.

Korean’s third goal came in the 30th minute through Lee Hynn Woo with a neat placement.

Customs forward Nelson Cardoz worked overtime but missed a good chance in the 32nd minute.

The Koreans slowed down the pace in the second session but even then scored through Sin Hyunkuk in the 47th minute and Hwang Kyubum in the 59th minute.

The match was a good practice before the Korean team takes on Archbishop’s Goa XI at Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Sunday.

The team arrives in Goa by Mandovi Express on Saturday evening.
