Sporting Clube condole death of player Avrhishto

PANJIM: The management, technical team and the players of Sporting Clube de Goa have condoled the sudden passing away of their young star Avrhishto Fernandes under tragic circumstances at his Saligao residence, early Monday morning.

PANJIM: The management, technical team and the players of Sporting Clube de Goa have condoled the sudden passing away of their young star Avrhishto Fernandes under tragic circumstances at his Saligao residence, early Monday morning.
Avrhishto, born on October 10, 1996, was a player with prodigious talent having good technique, passing and shooting ability. He was shaping up into an excellent creative mid-fielder before his tragic demise.
Avrhishto represented Goa for the U-16 BC Roy National Tournament in the season 2010-11. He also had honour to be the only Goa player selected amongst the six Indian players for the exposure trip to FC Bayern Munich in Germany sponsored by Bajaj Alliance in 2011.
Before joining the Clube on a five-year contract at the beginning of 2016-17 season Avrhishto played for Calangute Association in the Goa Pro-League in season 2015-16. 
He started his grassroots football under Coach Alex Alvares at Chubby Cheeks High School, Pilerne. Later Alex also played a crucial role in getting him back to shape following a knee operation in season 2014-15.
Avrhishto joined Brazil Football Academy in season 2011-12. In season 2012-13 he played for Sporting Clube U-18 team under Coach Severino Fernandes and then joined Sesa Football Academy as their U-20 player in the Goa Pro League in 2014-15 season.
Sporting Clube Manager Angelo Albuquerque remarked that Avrhishto was soft spoken, polite and well-mannered in every sense and he will be missed by all, especially his coaches, players and also the Clube management.
Peter Vaz, expressing with grief said that in the tragic passing away of Avrhishto, the Clube has lost one of its most promising and talented prospects who he always felt would have one day made it to the National squad.
Team captain Victorino Fernandes said that he and all his fellow team mates will always miss the ever smiling face of Avrhisto on and off the field.
Meanwhile, Goa Football Association also condole the sad demise of Avrhishto. “It’s sad to lose a young and talented footballer and it’s a great loss to Goan football,” President Elvis Gomes said.
