MAJORDA: St Anthony SC, Assolda moved in the quarter-finals of the Fr Basilio Andrade inter village football tournament after defeating Dicarpale SC 5-0, at Musson ground, Majorda on Tuesday.
St Anthony took the lead in the 22nd minute through Richard D’Sa who took the advantage of the opportunity that came to his feet as he slammed the ball giving no chance to Dicarpale goalkeeper.
Dicarpale SC retaliated with some moves by Conrad Furtado and Peterson Pereira who were live wires for their team. However, Richard D’Sa increased the lead for St Anthony in the 34th minute through a pass by Joyton Fernandes to make it 2-0 for St Anthony.
After resumption in the second half, Welson Fernandes put the team ahead in the 50th minute and in the 54th minute Richard D’Sa completed his hat-trick from a well calculated pass by Layden Fernandes to make it 4-0.
Joyton Fernandes scored the fifth goal in the 59th minute for St Anthony.
