NAGMODEM-NAVELIM: St Rock YC, Calata-Majorda got the better of United Club of Benaulim 5-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Navelim Villagers Union trophy in memory of Nelson and Bazeliana Coelho, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
In the third minute itself, Benaulim netted the opening goal of the match through Jozwan Cardozo’s placement shot off Jaison Pereira’s connect.
Alister Monteiro equalised for St Rock in the 18th minute.
In the tie-breaker, St Rock YC, Calata-Majorda netted through Lester Vaz, Suraj Naik, Ismael Pathan and Filbert Pereira while only Osbourne Fernandes scored for United Club of Benaulim.
