MAPUSA: St Britto’s HS, Mapusa, defeated Don Bosco High School, Panjim, 3-1, in the semifinals of the North District Boys U-14 Subroto Mukherjee football tournament played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa. For the winners the goal scorers were Tanish Tendulkar with 2 goals and Harsh Nagvekar while Leon Fernandes scored for Don Bosco.
In the girls semis Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula, won against St Xavier’s HSS, Mapusa, with a 1-0 margin, in the girls U-14 category. The all important goal for Rosary was scored by Vianna Fernandes.
