PERNEM: St. Joseph’s HS, Pernem defeated Govt HS, Ozari by seven wickets to move ahead in the U16 Boys GCA Shri Dilip Sardessai tournament organized by GCA Pedne Zone played at Warkhand ground, here on Monday.
Govt HS, Ozari won the toss and elected to bat where they scored 110 (all out) in 24.1 overs.
Adarsh Shetye (23), Yash Naik (13), Shiva Rav (10) and Kartik Salgaonkar 10 were the top scorers while Pratik Shetkar claimed 6 wickets and Yash Gadekar took 3 for the winners.
St Joseph HS Pernem managed to reach the target in 20 overs (113) giving away three wicket. Pratik Mayekar (30), Saiesh Arolkar (29 n.o.) and Deep Kauthankar 10 shined with the bat while Adarsh Shetye claimed all 3 wickets.
