PANJIM: St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, got the better of Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose De Areal 4-1, in the inter-school, 7-a-side U-12 (mixed boys and girls) category of the Next Gen League 1.0 Round 3, organised by The King’s Sports Academy to promote football development at the school level, at The King’s School artificial turf ground, Sao Jose De Areal, on Wednesday.
St Joseph’s Educational Institute scored through the efforts of Trinsly Menezes, Kingsly Fernandes, Filzer Fernandes, Mackenzie Oliveira while Shanon Endro netted the lone goal from Bethany High School. In the other matches played, Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, thrashed St Anthony’s High School, Cuncolim, 7-1. For Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Daneilson Vaz, Clydell Fernandes, Ashnoy Vaz, Jovan Gomes, Ethan Carvalho, Daison Colaco, Liroy Gomes netted a goal each while Ayan Lattewale scored for St Anthony’s High School. St Xavier’s High School, Velim, demolished The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, 5-0. Presley Fernandes, Adharsh Kanathil, Swedon Simoes, Casroy Fernandes and Alton Fernandes scored a goal each.
St Pius X Convent High School, Orlim, got the better of Infant Jesus High School, Colva, 5-2. Messi Fernandes, Dwayne Fernandes, Nolan Pereira, Jade Sequeira and Welsh Fernandes netted for the winners while Joshua Jene and Santosh Nayak scored for the losers. Auxilium High School, Benaulim, trounced The King’s School, Sao Jose De Areal, 8-0. Jayden Rodrigues, Terrance Fernandes, Nasri Bepari, Austin Fernandes, Jesus Fernandes, Mark D’Costa, Ryan Fernandes and Darsh Lotlikar were the goal scorers.
