RAIA: Raia SC outplayed Chandor Club 4-2 via tie-breaker to book their place in the semi-finals of Gold Silver Trophy inter-village football tournament played at Rosary church ground, Navelim, on Wednesday. Elton Colaco of Raia SC was the star of the match with his dribbling and shooting power while Vitorino Fernandes of Chandor Club gave his best to his team. In spite of rain, more than 900 cheered their favourite teams. Risbon took a powerful shot in the 22nd minute and netted the first goal of the match for Chandor Club. As the match progressed, in the 28th minute Elton Colaco of Raia SC equalised.
At the end of regulation time, both the teams settled for 1-1 draw. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Raia SC netted through Jouston, Achillies and Leeran while for Chandor Club Rizbon scored. Leo Colaco of Raia SC was presented with the man-of-the-match award by Michael Cardozo.
