DONGORIM: St Mathew’s Boys, Azossim defeated Amparo Boys, Mandur 3-2 via the tie-breaker to lift the Azossim-Mandur Panchayat Cup held on Independence Day, at Dongorim ground.
Martin Pereira saved two penalties to tilt the balance in favour of Azossim boys.
Pereira, who plays for Kuwait United, in tournaments for Goan teams was declared best goalkeeper.
The one-day tourney was organized by Mahadev Sports Club.
A total of 16 teams participated.
