St Michael Boys, Orlim defeated  Rosario Boys, Davorlim 3-1 to march into the quarter-final of Gumboots football tournament organised by Gumboots  Boys of Orlim at church ground, Orlim  on Saturday. St Micheal Boys led 2-0 at half time.
Desmond Fernandes  broke the deadlock soon after kick off when he bulged the net after he picked up a well measured pass from  Maclino.
The early goal boosted the morale of the players as they repeatedly raided the rival citadel and their umpteen raids bore fruits when  Maclino punished the rival goalkeeper with a deft placement.
Crossing over, Rosary Boys were a dominant lot  and they went all out  in search of goals  and created many forays into the rival territory .Wilson reduce the margin with a fierce shot .
Stunned  by the goal, St Micheal  Boys  went into attacking mode  with Striker Maclino was a thorn in the rival defence and struck second time  midway  in the second half .
Stung by the setback, Rosario Boys  went all out in search of goals  and Peter pulled one back after he sent the ball to the far corner of the net.
