MAPUSA: St Thereza High School, Candolim edged past Holy Cross High School, Siolim 4-2, via the tie- breaker to enter the final of the Bardez Taluka U-14 football tournament organized by DSYA, at Moira ground, on Thursday.
At the end of regulation time the scoreboard read 0-0 hence the tiebreaker was enforced, wherein the Candolim School’s Agnela Antao made three saves to take her team into the final of the tournament.
In another match St Xavier’s High School, Moira registered a 3-1 win over St Michael’s High School, Vagator also in the penalty shootout to reach the final.
At the end of normal time, the teams were locked in a 1-1 draw.
