MAPUSA: St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa defeated St Britto High School, Mapusa 3-0 to emerge champions of the U-17 boys Subroto Mukherjee football tournament Bardez taluka, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Friday.
Glayden Faria, Anron Pereira and Ramson Cardoso scored for the winners.
DMS PVS Kushe Higher Secondary School, Assagao beat St Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona via the tie-breaker to bag the third place after both the teams were held to a 2-2 draw at the end of the regular time.
Daniel Shanu and Chirag Dhuri scored for Assagaon while Yash Parwar netted a brace for St Thomas HSS, Aldona.
