Sumeet stars for La Paz

A brilliant 97 studded with 13 fours and six sixes by Sumeet Meher enabled La Paz to score 259 in 50 overs against GCA XI on the first day of their Super Cup cricket match at Campal grounds, on Friday.
Sumeet had an able partner in Damodar Lotlikar who scored 32. Vidhaydar Kamat was not out on 44.
Ganeshraj Narvekar did most of the damage claiming 5 for 93. The other wicket takers were Darshan Mishal 2-22, Girish Yadav 2-39 and A Desai 1-21.
GCA were 32 for the loss of one wicket at stumps. Gaurav Desai contributed with 20 with Sahil Desai on 6 not out and Rohit Naik yet to open the score. Vidhyadar Kamat claimed the lone wicket.
