MAPUSA: Super Goans Football Club registered a well deserved 4-1 win against Holiday Sports Club, Arpora in the GFA’s Third Division League- Bardez Zone played at Duler stadium here on Monday.
Super Goan’s colts continued with their unbeaten run in the ongoing league and went into the breather with a three goals cushion. Bhargar opened the account for the winners in the 18th minute scoring from inside the 18-yard box. It did not take long for Super Goan’s to further increase their lead with Austin Diniz (22nd minute) and Sohan Nagvekar (28th minute) pumping in two more goals.
On crossing over in the very 3rd minute Arpora unit caught the rival defense napping with Ray D’Souza pulling a goal with a neat placement, 3-1.
However Super Goan’s hunger for goals did not stop with Kennrick Menezes hammering in the fourth goal to take the score tally to 4-1.
At Panchayat grounds Tuem: St Sebastian SC Mapuca trounced Bhumika Sports & Cultural club by 5-1 margin.
St Sebastian went into the breather with 3-0 margin. Noel Viegas, Veron Pereira, and Jewel Fernandes scored.
On resumption of play Pratik Naik made it 4-0. However Bhumika managed to reduce the margin through a self goal from the boots of Daued Maldar. In the injury time Rawnak Mapsekar made it 5-1.
Meanwhile, the Group A match between FC Siolim and Xetrapal Sports Club scheduled to be played on Tuesday at Siolim Church ground was postponed till further date.
At Carmona ground, Carmona Sports Club registered a solitary goal win over Ambelim Sports Club.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 44th minute by Neil D’Cruz. Aliston Pinto of Ambelim and Ashley Afonso of Carmona SC were cautioned.
At Nagoa ground, PAX of Nagoa ran riot scoring a 10-0 win over Arlem Youth Club.
Jayesh Velip scored five, John Fernandes netted a hattrick and Princen Costa scored a brace for the winners. The winners led 5-0 at the break.
