MAPUSA: Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao registered a narrow 1-0 win over Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem in the GFA’s U-14, at Candolim grounds, on Sunday.
The all important goal was scored by Shivam Vishwakarma.
Down by a goal, Dunes SC pressurised Taleigao defence, however their strikers failed to beat strong Taleigao defence.
On Saturday, Candolim Sports Club managed to hold St Anthony’s Marna to a 3-3 draw.
For Candolim, Lester D’Souza was the hero as he scored a brace.
Sebastian Gonsalves netted one for Candolim SC while for Marna, Joshua netted a brace and Lucas Cruz was the other goal scorer.
Candolim’s Lester had the chance to net the winner late in the game but failed on the ocassion.
At Tivim grounds, St Cristohper SC, Tivim held Kelbai SC to a 2-2 draw.
At Nachionola grounds, FC Goa trounced Vailankani SC Morjim 8-0.
Earlier, Quitula SC drubbed Arpora Sporting 8-1. The winners led 3-0 at half-time.
