PANJIM: Rising India stars Tanisha Crasto (Goa) and Ishaan Bhatnagar (Chhattisgarh) have sealed their berth in the Indian team for the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships to be held in Dubai, UAE from February 14-19. At the Selection trials conducted by Badminton Association of India in New Delhi, three pairs were shortlisted to compete for one spot in the India team in the mixed doubles category.
Tanisha/Ishaan, ranked 19th in BWF World Rankings, justified their favourites tag to register a facile 21-6, 21-9 win over Venkat Gaurav Prasad/Juhi Dewangan, followed by another convincing 21-14, 21-17 win over Rohan Kapoor/Sikki Reddy to top the trials thereby confirming their selection.
