MAPUSA: Tropa Sports and Cultural Club managed to squeeze past St Christopher SC Tivim 2-1 in the Bardez Zone GFA’s 3rd Division League match at Tivim ground, here, Wednesday.
Tivim side went into the lead in the 20th minute through a self-goal scored by Deepesh Gawade. However, in the last 10 minutes before the final whistle Tropa scored two goals through Alister D’Souza and Chetan Shirodkar.
Meanwhile in the Mormugao Zone, Mormugao USC thrashed Rising Stars SC 4-0 with the scores coming from the efforts from Joy Menezes in the 5th minute, Durgapa Maper 16′, Chaitan Kalangutkar 30′, and Uday Naik 64′.
Dabolim United SC humbled Patrong SC 3-0 to get a walkover.
