MAPUSA: Nerul Sports Club surrendered their lead to split points with United Sports Club Nerul after a 2-2 draw in the GFA’s 3rd Division League, Bardez Zone, at Candolim ground, here, on Sunday.
Deu Sangelkar gave Nerul SC the lead in the 22nd minute of play. However, Narayan Chopdekar managed to net in the equaliser for UC Nerul in the 34th minute of play.
Nerul SC once again managed to surge ahead in the 43rd minute of play when Atul More’s 25-yard shot had no answer from the rival keeper.
Changing ends, Nerul failed to hold on to their lead where Sonu Pashi levelled terms for UC Nerul scoring in a goalmouth melee.
