Vasco Club focus on youth

Vasco Sports Club has finished the formalities of signing 17 players for the season and are in the process of signing another two. The club will also conduct a trial for 10 players from their U- 20 academy team which will be finalised soon.
Gavin Araujo will be the club’s coach-cum-manager. Academy coach, Richard Hood has been promoted to assistant coach of the senior team after completing his AFC “B” and UEFA “B” coaching licences recently.
Gavin aims for the club to finish fifth in this season’s Goa Pro League. He plans to strengthen his squad in the second half of the season with foreign players as they challenge in the I-league second division. “I am aiming for at least a fifth place finish behind the I-league clubs.” stated Gavin.
