MARGAO: Verna Sports Club blanked Dramapur Sports Club 2-0 to advance into the quarter-finals of all-Goa Wilred Leisure Super Soccer inter-village football tournament organized by Wilred Leisure Sports Club at DYSA ground, Curtorim, Wednesday. There was no score at half time.
The first half turned out to be a listless exercise as both sides preferred to hold back their offensive intent.
After resumption, Verna broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when Matheus Abranches fired home from close range.
