SALIGAO: Verna Veterans beat Goa Priests 2-0 in the final of 1st All Goa 11-a-side football tournament organised by Natural Cozinheiro in memory of Jack Coelho (ex Sarpanch of village panchayat of Saligao) at Saligao ground, recently.
Verna Veterans scored their first goal in the first half through Seby Vas and Satan Colaco doubled the lead in the second half.
Goa Priests tried their best to equalise but were unable to do so.
The winners were awarded Rs 25,000 plus trophy while the runners-up received Rs 15,000 plus trophy. Other individual prizes were given by Saligao MLA Kedar Naik along with other dignitaries.
